The TOEFL and IELTS are acceptable English Proficiency tests. A new free online English Test called the English Language Admission Test ( ELAT ) has been exclusively offered for BYU–Hawaii applicants each semester. The ELAT test for the spring 2024 term is estimated to be available in October. For more details, please visit: English Test Requirements BYU–Hawaii BYU-Pathway Partnership Update As of March 1, 2023, we have completed the first year of admissions including priority for those who have completed PathwayConnect. Moving forward, students will not be considered for priority admission until they have completed both PathwayConnect and an English proficiency test . Students should apply after completion of those programs and continue to pursue certificates and degrees through BYU-Pathway Worldwide while they wait for admission decisions from BYU–Hawaii.
